The Senior Employee Relations Representative supports St. Luke's management and employees by administering employee relations policies, programs, and practices across the entire system. This role involves communicating HR policies, assisting in coaching and corrective action processes, and conducting investigations to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with employees at all levels to answer questions and convey relevant HR information and policies
- Communicate with employees involved in coaching and corrective action processes to help them understand the process
- Compile necessary information for leadership review prior to investigations or situations with potential legal risk
- Serve as primary resource to Employee Relations Representatives regarding employee and leadership concerns
- Assist with issue resolution and problem-solving for the Employee Relations team
- Collaborate with leadership to develop processes and programs to meet strategic goals
- Develop and present management training materials covering HR topics and supporting documents
- Support HR policy administration, including anti-harassment and non-discrimination, by conducting investigations and employee interviews
- Partner with the Privacy Officer and leadership to investigate and recommend resolutions for possible HIPAA and privacy breaches
- Ensure enforcement of rights and responsibilities to employees with disability regarding reasonable accommodation as identified by the ADAAA
- Compile reports, assemble, and interpret data
- Remain current on pertinent employment laws and regulations
- May lead, develop, and mentor HR staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 5 years relevant experience
- Action-oriented with a drive for process
- Ability to work independently
- Previous Employee Relations experience
