This role is a discipline lead at the project level, overseeing electrical design and managing budgets for projects ranging from simple to highly complex. The Electrical Engineer IV also directs and mentors electrical design and engineering staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Manage multiple priorities and complex tasks
- Direct and mentor electrical design and engineering staff
- Ensure workflows align with client expectations and project goals
- Serve as the primary electrical discipline lead for large, complex projects
- Manage project budgets and schedules from an electrical design perspective
- Interface with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Lead electrical system design programming and master planning
- Oversee quality assurance for design documents and calculations
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Support construction activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reporting
- Develop and deliver internal training presentations on electrical design and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with Project Managers on proposals, resource planning, and scheduling for electrical scope of work
Requirements
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in a design firm setting
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration

Nice to Have
- Advanced knowledge of GMP manufacturing environments
- Expertise in electrical system design, including lighting, power, and specialty systems
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and intermediate knowledge of building codes
- Experience leading field surveys and preparing detailed reports
- Proficiency in cross-discipline coordination and collaboration with construction partners, vendors, and manufacturers
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and system issues effectively
