Lead and guide engineering and construction projects, focusing on the design and oversight of electrical systems for energy-efficient as well as complex infrastructure buildings as a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least eight years of experience in Consulting Engineering at CMTA, a Legence Company.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors
- Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers
- Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication and lead meetings
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Confer with other engineers and other personnel to complete project deadlines
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles, research and design as well as evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
- Research and analyze clients’ design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with MEP design
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- PE registration
- Experience with internal and external project management
- Experience in MEP design and specifications
- Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 8+ years of experience with MEP design in Consulting Engineering, strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, and proven experience with project management and business development
Nice to Have
- Experience with Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors
