Develop predictive models and algorithms to automate critical business functions, leveraging data from multiple sources to gain competitive insight. This role involves conceptualizing, building, testing, and implementing machine learning models and algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, analyze, build, test, and implement new and existing models that utilize various data sets to solve problems
- Provide guidance for new models and algorithm changes for team use
- Build and implement machine learning models, testing frameworks, and visualizations to make decisions and influence the product roadmap
- Research data and identify opportunities in the data to drive the product roadmap
- Perform ad hoc data mining and statistical analyses on complex business problems
- Support the implementation, assessment and standardization of toolkits for data science team
- Identify ways to improve data quality and analysis
- Provide guidance to the data science team on approach and methodologies as a subject matter expert
- Regularly participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrum, refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related technical discipline and 7-year relevant experience (or 11 years' related experience without a degree)
- Experience in applying statistics, machine learning, algorithms development, predictive modeling and advanced mathematics to solve complex problems
- Understanding and ability to use programming languages
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years relevant experience in data science, or 11+ years related experience in lieu of a degree
