Senior Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician

About This Role

This role will prioritize and assign data center inventory and asset technician tasks, guide logistics, and ensure inventory accuracy for Microsoft's cloud services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign ticketed work to technicians
• Provide guidance on inbound/outbound logistics tasks
• Ensure inventory balances are accurate
• Maintain a strong focus to optimize resources and improve quality
• Ensure team is following all processes and procedures for Data Bearing Device (DBD) destruction
• Manage schedule of DBD destruction or shredding in partnership with senior leadership
• Provide technical support and task-specific guidance to a team of technicians for incoming/outgoing deliveries
• Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
• Ensure teams maintain and perform steps required to keep the inventory balance accurate
• Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues for IAM activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, retail, or a related field
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check
• Citizenship verification for US federal, state, and/or local government agency customers

• 3+ years experience in warehouse/supply chain in IT environment, IT, and/or logistics
• Experience operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation
