As a Senior Consultant, you will deliver high-quality consulting services to clients, focusing on implementing and optimizing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) systems. This role involves understanding client business needs, configuring FP&A solutions, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions to improve finance operations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the client's FP&A function
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support client decision-making
- Lead the configuration, customization, and deployment of Pigment FP&A software for clients
- Design and implement best practices for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into financial performance
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the migration and integration processes
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and performance
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met
- Create and maintain user documentation and system guides
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for client end-users
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for FP&A system users
Requirements
- 4+ years of consulting experience in a professional services setting
- 3+ years in FP&A, Finance, and/or accounting roles
- 2+ years' experience in FP&A software and tools, to include Pigment and Anaplan or Adaptive Insights (Workday)
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- 1+ years' experience of working in an ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, SAP) environment
- 1+ years' experience working with system implementation methodologies (requirements gathering, design, build/test, deploy), with a preference for Agile approaches
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field from an accredited university
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field from an accredited university
- 4+ years of consulting experience, 3+ years in FP&A/Finance/Accounting, 2+ years with FP&A software (Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights), 1+ years with ERP systems, and 1+ years with system implementation methodologies (Agile preferred)
Nice to Have
- 4+ years' experience in financial systems and business processes including financial planning processes and their implementation within large organizations
- 1+ years' experience in interpreting complex business data requirements and build analytical models and data feeds that deliver actionable insights
- 1+ years' experience working in a client facing role
- 1+ years' experience managing engagements or parts of larger projects
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- 1+ years' experience in mentoring and counseling junior staff
