Senior Construction Manager

About This Role

This position is responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring contract requirements are met, and coordinating resolution of issues with stakeholders. The role involves managing the construction team, maintaining project timelines, and ensuring cost-effective solutions in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Expedite the project timeline and deliverables.
• Develop and manage the project budget and construction schedule.
• Review construction status with the Project Superintendent.
• Meet with architectural and engineering teams to review plans, clarify details, and recommend solutions.
• Assemble and pre-qualify subcontractors for experience and financial stability.
• Ensure status reports are prepared, payment requests processed, and overall construction timeline maintained.
• Coordinate the closeout of projects, including as-built plans and O&M Manuals.
• Be responsible for the on-site Superintendent's performance.
• Ensure construction progress is on schedule and within budget, and subcontractors perform as required.
• Provide cost-effective solutions to challenges arising during construction.
• Update construction schedule, coordinate with Inspector of Record, and conduct project inspections with relevant personnel.
• Engage in business development with new clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or experience in a related field
• 10+ years of management experience
• Broad understanding of construction industry
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• 10 plus years of management experience.

• Inspector of Record certification
• NITC Medical Gas Inspector certification
