Senior Civil Design Engineer

About This Role

Join the Advanced Manufacturing group as a Senior Civil Engineer, working on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities to perform initial civil design, grading plans, and earthwork/drainage calculations for data centers.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development, site master planning and site selection for industrial projects
• Design underground utility routing and site space planning
• Conduct hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
• Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
• Perform final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Provide erosion and sediment control plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans
• Support permit approval processes for civil designs
• Research and apply local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction
• Perform stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications like StormCAD and CivilStorm
• Accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of engineering experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments
• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 8 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience, with strong working knowledge in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large scale industrial developments

Nice to Have

• PE certification
• Bluebeam experience
• Experience using Navisworks
