About This Role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to work on state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities in Tempe, AZ. This role involves performing conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to establish process design bases. The engineer will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, ensuring projects align with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.
  • Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
  • Coordinate on designs with equipment vendors.
  • Perform quality reviews on designs performed by others.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on basic engineering applications and principles.
  • Participate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
  • 12+ years of experience in a chemical process engineering role on manufacturing projects

Qualifications
