Senior, Accounting and Financial Reporting

About This Role

This Senior, Accounting and Financial Reporting role involves collaborating with finance and accounting teams to provide day-to-day accounting and controllership support for Deloitte's enterprise solutions. The Senior will drive accounting processes, ensure compliance with policy, and deliver accurate financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Drive period, quarter, and year-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy within established deadlines
• Review and approve journal entries
• Analyze, interpret, and understand financial data to ensure reported amounts are accurate
• Support the review of business transactions for US GAAP and firm policy compliance
• Support capitalization accounting and compliance with US GAAP and firm policy; lead quarterly review for intangible asset impairments
• Collaborate effectively with teams across Finance & Administration to review accounting transactions
• Proactively assist the team with critical deliverables for the Lead Controller or US Firms' Controller
• Support the implementation and execution of key controls and processes
• Responsible for various analyses, ad-hoc reporting, and special reporting requests
• Participate in broader Controllership transformation initiatives and other ad hoc projects
• Support in executing process improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and increase digitization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 4+ years of relevant Finance or Accounting experience
• Understanding of US GAAP and methodologies for technical research
• Ability to travel 0-10%

• CPA and/or MBA
• Data analysis skillsets and experience with advanced technologies

• Advanced in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
• Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBI
• Understanding and proficiency of SAP and other financial applications
• Advanced understanding of data science and visualization tools (Python, SQL)
• Machine learning algorithms
• Artificial intelligence software
