Security Officer - Warehouse Patrol

About This Role

As an unarmed Security Officer specializing in Warehouse Patrol, you will safeguard logistics and distribution clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. You will support access points, observe operations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, trailer areas, parking lots, entry points and perimeter fencing.
• Monitor access control points by verifying identification and/or authorization for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Perform routine rounds inside and around shipping and receiving areas to observe for unusual activity or conditions requiring follow-up.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activity and response actions in written reports and/or electronic systems.
• Support vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow during peak shift changes, dock operations and/or special events.
• Communicate professionally with operations teams, drivers and/or third-party vendors.
• Use provided radios, phones and/or other equipment to maintain situational awareness and request assistance.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
