Security Officer - Utility Yard Patrol Driver

About This Role

As a Security Officer in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, you will patrol utility yard areas, ensure site security and safety, and provide customer service to personnel and visitors. This role is crucial for deterring unauthorized activity and responding to incidents at utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve and safeguard clients in utilities industries
• Conduct routine unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking lots, and perimeter routes
• Stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents
• Support site operations through clear communication and strong customer service
• Document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team
• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken
• Monitor and control access at gates, doors, and designated entry points
• Complete detailed reports and shift logs, communicate via radio and/or phone, and coordinate with site leadership and local responders

Requirements

• 1+ year of security-related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of security-related experience
