Security Officer - Unarmed Bicycle Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients as an unarmed bicycle patrol security officer at a fast-paced government transit location in Brooklyn, NY. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and provide customer service to positively impact the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of platforms, mezzanines, entrances, corridors, stairwells, and perimeter areas
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity, and document security-related incidents
• Coordinate with location personnel and public agency partners, follow post orders, and communicate via radio/phone

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License
• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
