Security Officer - Truck Gate

About This Role

This role involves serving and safeguarding clients within logistics and distribution by controlling access points, monitoring shipments, and responding to incidents. The officer will greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, and manage entry/exit logs to support smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures and security policies
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing traffic
• Monitor and document inbound and outbound shipments, trailers, and vehicle movements
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting leadership and emergency services
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, dock areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards

Requirements

• Valid and current CA Guard Card
• Valid driver’s license
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

• High school diploma or equivalent
