Security Officer - Tech Access Control Driver

About This Role

This role is for a Security Officer and Access Control Driver in Melville, NY, responsible for safeguarding clients in various industries, particularly Tech/Media/Telecom. The officer will manage access control, greet visitors, verify credentials, and conduct patrols.

Responsibilities

• Serve and safeguard clients in Tech/Media/Telecom and other industries.
• Manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and track activity using computer-based systems.
• Remain a visible presence at entry points, respond to security-related concerns.
• Support teams with clear communication and integrity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems, alarms, and CCTV where assigned, and document unusual activity, access exceptions, and/or service requests.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services.

Requirements

• Proof of high school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
