This role is for a Security Officer and Access Control Driver in Melville, NY, responsible for safeguarding clients in various industries, particularly Tech/Media/Telecom. The officer will manage access control, greet visitors, verify credentials, and conduct patrols.
Responsibilities
- Serve and safeguard clients in Tech/Media/Telecom and other industries.
- Manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and track activity using computer-based systems.
- Remain a visible presence at entry points, respond to security-related concerns.
- Support teams with clear communication and integrity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor access control systems, alarms, and CCTV where assigned, and document unusual activity, access exceptions, and/or service requests.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services.
Requirements
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
