Security Officer - Second Shift

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries by monitoring key checkpoints, conducting screening activities, and supporting access control. Help reduce security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly, and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Screen employees, visitors, and contractors using magnetometers, handheld wands, and/or bag and package inspections
• Verify identification and access authorization, issue/collect visitor credentials, and maintain screening/entry logs
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, reporting hazards, policy violations, and suspicious activity
• Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring entry points, checking documentation, and coordinating with site contacts to deter unauthorized access

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

Nice to Have

• X-Ray screening experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Customer service experience
• Loss prevention experience
• Access control and/or badge experience
