As a Security Officer - Screening Specialist, you will ensure safety at a logistics and distribution facility by greeting drivers and employees, conducting entry screening, and checking credentials. Your role involves active monitoring, incident deterrence, and clear communication to safeguard clients and support site operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies
- Perform entry and exit screening activities including checking identification, controlling access points, and security screening of personnel and deliveries
- Monitor for unusual activity and deter unauthorized access, theft, or policy violations near screening points
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, documenting events and communicating with leadership or emergency services
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, staging areas, and perimeter
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age (or 21+ for armed roles)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Entry level role, no specific experience years mentioned as a minimum
Nice to Have
- A guard card and/or license is preferred
