Security Officer - School Patrol Driver

About This Role

This role involves safeguarding clients and property as a Security Officer - School Patrol Driver at a government education location, delivering security tasks, and responding to incidents with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including conflicts, medical situations, fire alarms, and urgent events.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hallways, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and unauthorized access.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing visitors.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activities in shift logs and written reports.
• Assist with building opening and/or closing procedures, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for proper status.
• Enforce site rules professionally, addressing loitering, trespassing, and policy violations.
• Provide traffic and parking support during student arrival and dismissal, special events, and peak periods.
• Participate in required training and follow post orders, including responding to drills and planned emergency response activities.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Ability to ride a bike
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen
