Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol

About This Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol a retail or mall location, deterring security incidents while providing excellent customer service. This role involves responding to critical situations and maintaining a secure environment for visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter.
• Deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Document incidents and observations according to company and site-specific protocols.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen (to the extent permitted by law)
