As a Part-Time Security Officer - Production Plant Rover, you will serve and safeguard clients at a food and beverage location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. This role involves responding to concerns, documenting observations, and delivering customer-focused service through clear communication while working within a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to client staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including production floors, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter routes.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor and vendor management by confirming authorization and maintaining sign-in and/or badge processes.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations while providing a professional, service-oriented approach.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, disturbances, medical situations, and/or environmental concerns.
- Observe and report conditions that may impact operations, such as unsecured doors, damaged gates, lighting outages, and/or other unusual conditions.
- Document patrols, incidents, and/or service requests using written logs and/or electronic reporting systems in a timely manner.
- Support shipping and receiving areas by observing truck and trailer activity, noting seal numbers and/or dock assignments, and reporting irregularities.
- Coordinate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed, helping to maintain organized communications during evolving events.
- Follow Allied Universal post orders and client-specific instructions, participate in briefings and/or training, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
