Security Officer - Power Plant Patrol Driver

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in the utilities industry by conducting routine mobile patrols, visible presence checks, and documenting security-related activity at a power plant in Livermore, CA.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a utility location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating when appropriate
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, substations, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, logging visitors, and maintaining key and badge accountability
• Perform vehicle and/or foot patrols, checking gates, doors, fencing, lighting, and equipment areas for damage or suspicious activity
• Monitor radio traffic, telephone calls, and/or security-related systems, documenting observations and reporting issues
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a clear, accurate, and timely manner
• Support utility operations during outages, restoration work, and/or scheduled maintenance by managing traffic flow and coordinating with site personnel

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license (meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements)
• At least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or GED
• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
