Security Officer - Petrochemical Gatehouse

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients as a Security Officer at a petrochemical gatehouse, managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring alarms, and documenting activity. This role contributes to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers served.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by performing security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter
• Control access at entry points by checking identification and verifying authorization
• Process visitors and contractors by issuing credentials and maintaining logs
• Operate gatehouse and/or lobby access systems, monitoring alarms, intercoms, and cameras
• Screen packages, deliveries, and service vendors per site policy
• Conduct vehicle access control by verifying driver credentials and reviewing documentation
• Document access control activities, incidents, and unusual occurrences in reports
• Support emergency response activities by relaying accurate information and coordinating with personnel

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed role)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
