Security Officer - Petrochemical Gatehouse

About This Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer at a petrochemical gatehouse in Benicia, CA, you will safeguard clients by managing entry/exit points, verifying credentials, and documenting site activity. Your role is vital in maintaining security, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, processing visitor registrations, issuing temporary badges, maintaining logs, and coordinating with site contacts for authorization
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractors as required by post orders, including directing traffic flow, checking documentation, and reporting irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting emergency services as directed
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance concerns, and complete patrol reports

Requirements

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications
