Security Officer - Patrol Guard

About This Role

As a Security Officer - Patrol Guard in Sheridan, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients at a critical utilities location by conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining a visible security presence. You will respond to alarms and unusual activity, document observations, and communicate with site teams and visitors while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, including buildings, parking areas, yards, and perimeter lines.
• Monitor access points and check credentials and/or authorization as required; direct visitors and contractors according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, damaged fencing, suspicious activity, and/or unauthorized entry attempts.
• Complete shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and activity reports, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent or Criminal Justice Degree
• 4+ years Military or Law Enforcement Experience or Criminal Justice Degree

• 4+ Year Military or Law Enforcement Experience or Criminal Justice Degree.
