Security Officer - Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including logistics and distribution, as an Unarmed Patrol Officer. Monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct rounds, and support access control to help discourage security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of areas such as warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeters
• Deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues
• Control access for employees, visitors, and drivers by verifying identification and/or appointments, issuing visitor credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing traffic flow
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical situations
• Notify management and/or emergency services when appropriate
• Complete detailed reports on daily activity, patrols, incidents, and policy exceptions
• Communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision

Requirements

• At least 6+ months of security experience
• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen

Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 6+ months of security experience

Nice to Have

• Access control and/or badge experience
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
