Security Officer - Part-Time Roving Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries as a Part-Time Security Officer, focusing on monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to deter security incidents. This role involves providing strong customer service to staff, students, and visitors, along with documenting observations and responding to concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor access points during arrival, dismissal, and special events, observing for unusual activity, assisting with visitor check-in, and directing guests
• Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate key observations to site contacts, and assist with preserving scenes for authorities

Requirements

• 21+ years of age (or 18+ for unarmed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen (to the extent permitted by law)
