Security Officer - NY State Licensed Patrol

About This Role

As a Security Officer in Brooklyn, NY, you will conduct routine patrols in government facilities, observe for unusual activity, and respond to incidents to ensure safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors, carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout government transportation facilities
• Observe for unusual activity, unattended items, access issues, and policy violations
• Help to deter prohibited behavior through presence and professional communication
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports
• Communicate key information during shift handoff

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License
• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
