As a Security Officer - Media Entry Screener, you will safeguard clients in various industries by providing customer service, screening access, and monitoring assigned areas. This role involves managing visitor flow and responding to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen and verify access for individuals, vehicles, and packages, including checking identification, validating authorization, and directing traffic flow.
- Support entry and exit operations by managing queues, visitor processing, and communicating expectations to ensure an orderly screening process.
- Monitor assigned screening area for unusual activity and conditions that may deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations, reporting concerns as needed.
- Operate screening and inspection tools/systems, following escalation steps for prohibited items, suspicious packages, and/or policy exceptions.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, disturbances, alarms, and/or evacuation notifications.
- Complete required logs and reports such as incident reports, screening records, and activity documentation in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with site contacts and local responders, communicating observations and incident details clearly using various formats.
- Perform additional duties related to access control, perimeter checks near entry points, and other site-specific assignments.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Loss prevention experience
- Guard card and/or license
