Serve and safeguard clients as a part-time Security Officer focusing on lot patrol at a higher education location in Philadelphia, PA. This role patrols assigned areas, conducts routine rounds, and assists students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a visible presence to reduce security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, alarms, disturbances, and access control concerns
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, unauthorized entry attempts, and/or policy violations to appropriate campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership
- Complete security-related reports and logs, document incident details, and communicate updates during shift turnovers and/or as events develop
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
