Security Officer - Logistics Front Desk

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in logistics and distribution by providing front desk security services. This role involves greeting visitors, managing access control, and monitoring security systems to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Staff the front desk, greeting and directing visitors, vendors, and drivers while maintaining an orderly lobby.
• Verify visitor identity, appointments, and access authorization, and issue visitor credentials.
• Monitor and manage access control points at the front desk, including doors, turnstiles, and related security systems.
• Screen and route incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, providing general information and escalating issues.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs, and support documentation requirements for audits and incident follow up.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, including alarms, suspicious activity, medical calls, and facility emergencies.
• Communicate clearly with operations, warehouse staff, and transportation teams to support traffic flow and site access.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, unauthorized persons, and/or policy violations.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and other security-related monitoring platforms as assigned, and report observations.
• Complete required daily reports, shift notes, and incident reports in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance to visitors and contractors on site rules, PPE requirements, and restricted area controls.

Requirements

• Speak, read, and write fluent Spanish
• 1+ years of security-related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of security-related experience

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Guard card/license
