Security Officer - Hospital Rounds

About This Role

As a Security Officer at a healthcare facility in New York, you will patrol assigned areas, providing customer service to staff and visitors while monitoring for and responding to security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, radios, and other systems, communicating observations to leadership
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Support the protection of sensitive work areas by following site rules for access and documentation
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes
• Maintain confidentiality of medical, investigative, and operational information
• Assist with basic crowd management during high-traffic periods
• Participate in briefings, training, and drills for emergencies

Requirements

• 1+ years of security-related experience
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age for this role

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years of security-related experience
