Security Officer - Government Site Patrol Full-Time

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a government setting as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, ensuring security, and contributing to a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and security-related systems such as cameras and alarm panels when assigned, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifying appropriate personnel, and coordinating with public agencies when needed.
• Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and pass-on information, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles); 21+ years of age (for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen
