This role will provide security services and safeguard clients within a healthcare environment, focusing on hospital patrols to deter incidents and maintain a secure presence for patients, staff, and visitors. The position offers flexibility through a "Claim a Shift" platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities as needed
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment
- Observe and report any unusual activities, hazards, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and/or assisting with visitor management
- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and first responders during emergencies and/or drills
- Complete required documentation and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific standards
Requirements
- Proof of high school diploma or GED
- Hospital site requires vaccines
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Nice to Have
- Loss prevention experience
- CPR and First Aid certification
- A guard card or license
