Security Officer - Flex Healthcare Patrol

About This Role

As a Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role focuses on deterring security incidents while providing excellent customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the well-being of staff, patients, and visitors
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents according to established protocols
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required by site policies
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries or provide assistance
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and welcoming location

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required

• Experience with access control or badge systems
