Security Officer - Flex Gatehouse

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries by controlling access, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents as a Security Officer - Flex Gatehouse.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies at an industrial location
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing individuals to check-in areas
• Operate access control systems and related equipment, including monitoring alarms, gates, doors, and intercoms/radio communications
• Screen and log visitors, contractors, and deliveries, maintaining accurate written or electronic records
• Support shipping and receiving areas by verifying delivery appointments, checking documentation, and guiding drivers to designated areas
• Respond to incidents and critical situations by reporting hazards, access issues, and suspicious activity through established channels
• Monitor camera systems and other security-related technology to identify unauthorized access attempts and policy violations
• Conduct routine inspections of entry points, fencing, gates, and perimeter doors to identify damage or unsecured access points and report findings
• Assist with emergency procedures such as evacuations, severe weather actions, and medical response support
• Prepare complete and accurate shift reports, incident reports, and pass-down notes, maintaining professional communication with clients and leadership

Requirements

• 1+ years of security experience
• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of security experience

Nice to Have

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Alarm panel experience
• Access control and/or badge experience
