Security Officer - Flex - Chemical Facility

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients at a chemical facility by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, conducting routine rounds, and maintaining high visibility as an unarmed patrol officer. You will also support access points, observe for unusual activity, and assist employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out post orders and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of units, process areas, tank farms, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter zones.
• Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying authorization, checking identification, and maintaining logs.
• Perform vehicle checks and observe deliveries and shipments for compliance with site procedures.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or intrusion detection systems where assigned, and report malfunctions or concerning activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations.
• Communicate with Allied Universal supervision, site contacts, and/or emergency responders via radio, phone, and written reports.
• Complete detailed activity logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports.
• Support compliance with site rules related to restricted areas, photography limitations, and/or controlled substances.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer service demeanor while enforcing site policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
