Security Officer - Flex Access Control

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and controlling access points, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents in an industrial environment. This role contributes to maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location to deter unauthorized entry and maintain site-specific protocols
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with access-related questions and needs
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and irregularities
• Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during emergencies or unusual events
• Follow all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to a chemical or petrochemical environment

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• State, county, or city issued security license
• Customer service experience
