Security Officer - Energy Site Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries, specifically Utilities, as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, ensuring security and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services per post orders
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, operational areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions
• Monitor access points and visitor traffic, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining logs, and directing visitors and contractors to appropriate areas
• Complete detailed reports on patrol findings, incidents, and observations, and communicate status updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 21 years of age

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of security-related experience

Nice to Have

• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
