Security Officer - Electric Plant Patrol

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients at a utilities location, performing routine patrols and monitoring for security-related incidents. Communicate effectively with staff and visitors while enforcing site-specific policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a utilities location following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, substations, and perimeter areas, documenting observations
• Control access at gates and entry points by verifying identification, issuing passes, maintaining logs, and directing deliveries
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations calmly, notifying contacts and public responders, and completing detailed incident reports
• Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, and access control panels, reporting maintenance issues and unusual activity

Requirements

• 2+ years of security experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age for armed roles (18+ for unarmed roles)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of security experience

Nice to Have

• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
