Security Officer - Badge Desk Driver

About This Role

Serve as a Security Officer, Badge Desk personnel, and Driver, safeguarding clients in the chemical/petrochemical industry by managing entry points, verifying credentials, conducting patrols, and providing customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies.
• Staff access points and gatehouses to verify credentials, manage visitor check-in and check-out, issue temporary badges, and maintain accurate logs and reports.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian entry using approved screening methods, conduct visual inspections of vehicles, packages, and deliveries, and coordinate with site contacts for entry approvals.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, staging zones, and perimeter routes to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Report maintenance or operational concerns through proper channels.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles)
• Valid driver's license
• TSA issued TWIC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Customer service experience
• State, county, or city issued security license
• Access control and/or badge experience
