Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol

About This Role

As an Armed Retail Patrol Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol retail locations in Syracuse, NY, helping to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service to visitors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise within the retail environment
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential concerns
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other prohibited activities
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide reassurance to staff and customers
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel when required during critical situations
• Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and verifying credentials as needed

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs
