Security Officer Armed Hospital Patrol

About This Role

As an Armed Patrol Officer, you will safeguard clients in a healthcare setting by conducting routine patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring security protocols are followed. This role involves providing customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a visible presence to deter unwanted activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Perform armed patrol duties throughout the hospital location, including regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter
• Monitor access points and assist with access control, visitor direction, and protection of restricted areas in accordance with post orders
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with site leadership and/or local emergency services
• Complete incident reports, activity logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts

Requirements

• 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation
• Subject to a drug screen
