Security Officer Armed Hospital Facility

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare facility as an armed security officer. Conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents to ensure a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgement to address issues as they arise
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and emergency responders to support a secure environment and facilitate appropriate response to incidents
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location while carrying authorized equipment in accordance with armed post requirements
• Follow all procedures related to the handling and storage of weapons as outlined by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines

Requirements

• 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree
• Possess an armed guard card or license
• At least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
