About This Role

As an Armed Courthouse Patrol Security Officer, you will safeguard clients at a government location by conducting patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, applicable regulations, and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or authorizations as required by site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, helping to deter prohibited activity.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, including use of force documentation when applicable.
  • Operate communication systems and related technology such as radios, phones, and alarm monitoring tools to coordinate response and relay information.
  • Assist with crowd management and traffic control during public meetings, special events, and/or emergency operations.
  • Participate in required training, briefings, and drills, and follow all applicable rules regarding confidentiality, professionalism, and chain of command.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card/license
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED
  • Be 21+ years of age
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge OR an associates degree with 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate

  • High school diploma or GED as required by the client OR an associates degree with 60 college credits OR a police academy certificate OR a corrections academy certificate
