Serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, and travelers as an Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI. Coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to ensure the safety and security of airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, and travelers
• Ensure the safety and security of airport operations
• Coordinate real-time responses to incidents and critical situations
• Monitor security systems and dispatch officers where needed
• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies
• Respond to incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public agencies
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the airport location
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, deter unauthorized entry
• Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation
• Support queue management and public-area observation, assist with directions and inquiries
• Report maintenance issues and/or suspicious activity through appropriate channels

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• 1+ years of security-related experience
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in call taking, dispatching, CCTV monitoring, and security-related roles

Nice to Have

• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
