Security Officer - Access Control Gate

About This Role

Serve and safeguard clients in various industries by managing access points, verifying credentials, and monitoring activity at a food and beverage location. This role contributes to maintaining a secure environment and involves routine patrols and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following post orders, site-specific access procedures, and security-related policies
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing sign-in/out, issuing temporary credentials, and directing authorized personnel
• Monitor alarms, door status, and CCTV, documenting unusual activity to deter unauthorized entry and policy violations
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances, docks, staging areas, and perimeter fencing to deter theft and unauthorized access, completing required reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of security experience
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screen

Qualifications

• high school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of security experience

Nice to Have

• Customer service experience
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet
• Access control and/or badge experience
