About This Role

The Security Manager is responsible for safeguarding all hotel assets, associates, guests, and general visitors on the property, promoting strategies and protocols to protect from threats. This role focuses on maintaining high service quality while managing team turnover and payroll budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all security aspects of the daily operation of the Hotel
  • Supervise and train security personnel
  • Develop and implement security plans and policies to protect assets and people at the hotel
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner
  • Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of all problems or matters requiring his/her attention
  • Maintain professional relationships with main government and law enforcement partners
  • Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with SOP’s in the hotel
  • Ensure compliance with requisition procedures
  • Be visible on the floor and assist staff as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive experience in hotel security or related field
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish, both verbally and written
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel security or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Military or law enforcement experience
  • Crisis management experience
