Security Guard - Unarmed Freight Yard Patrol

About This Role

This role involves safeguarding clients and facilities at a logistics and distribution location through unarmed patrol, access control, and incident response. Provide clear customer service and communication as part of an agile and reliable team.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility interior, loading dock areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions
• Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in and/or check-out processes, and directing deliveries and drivers to appropriate staging areas
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and/or requesting public emergency services as needed
• Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and support investigations by preserving relevant information

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• Be at least 18 years of age (for unarmed roles) or 21 years of age (for armed roles)
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a background investigation
• Ability to pass a drug screen

Qualifications
