About This Role

This role involves ensuring the security and safety of Microsoft Teams for millions of users by identifying and addressing security shortcomings, investigating incidents, leading security reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address underlying causes of security shortcomings, developing guidance and best practices.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and triage security incidents, contributing to postmortem and root cause analyses.
  • Lead security reviews, including architectural and design reviews, and document findings.
  • Contribute to efforts ensuring compliance with security, privacy, safety, and accessibility processes.
  • Use appropriate artificial intelligence (AI) tools and practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Exhibit subject matter expertise in security issues, tools, mitigations, and processes, providing guidance to others.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection (with a Bachelor's Degree)
  • 1+ year experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection (with a Master's Degree)

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Risk Management, Cyber Security, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection with a Bachelor's degree, or 1+ year with a Master's degree.

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, anomaly or detection (enterprise experience) with a Master's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large scale computing, threat modeling, cyber security, or anomaly detection (enterprise experience) with a Bachelor's Degree
