Seasonal Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

This role provides excellent customer service to Lowe's patrons, assisting them with product selection, purchases, and inquiries, while maintaining store cleanliness and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's policies and procedures
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
• Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer questions, guiding them through the store and projects
• Communicate information about stock, special orders, and product features to customers
• Write customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs (Tool Rental Department)
• Cross-train in other store areas to enhance customer service
• Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, reporting them to management
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards to maintain store cleanliness and organization
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safety protocols and keeping aisles clear
• Adhere to all safety requirements related to job duties, including power equipment use and safety devices
• Operate various store equipment such as Zebra phones, computers, and specialized tools

Requirements

• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets
• Less than 1 Year Retail experience, performing tasks such as: identifying and selling products based on customer needs; explaining warranties, product features, and benefits; assisting customers in locating products; building customer relationships; identifying and resolving customer issues; zone recovery; and housekeeping
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience using a computer and common retail technology; Less than 1 year retail experience performing sales, customer service, and merchandising tasks.
